The Crown ranges from 236 hp with its base hybrid powertrain to 340 hp if you upgrade to Toyota’s Hybrid MAX system. The Camry has a slightly lower range of 202 hp with the base four-cylinder engine and 301 hp with the available V6. The Camry is also offered as a hybrid.
Fuel economy for the Camry offers an estimated 28/39 MPG. The Crown delivers an estimated 42/41 MPG.
Interior Space and Features
Both the Crown and the Camry can accommodate up to five passengers, but the Camry offers a bit more headroom since the Crown’s design elevates the vehicle’s seats. They also have nearly identical cargo space, with 15.1 cu ft in the Camry and 15.2 cu ft in the trunk of the Crown.
You can upgrade the Crown with a panoramic sunroof, while the Camry has an available panoramic moonroof. Both vehicles have standard dual-zone automatic climate control.
Technology
As a brand-new model, the Crown has the latest infotainment tech. It includes a standard 12.3-in touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio, wireless charging, and five USB ports throughout the cabin. You can add Toyota’s Digital Key feature. The standard 12.3-in digital instrument cluster is also limited to the 2023 Crown.
The Camry comes with a standard 7-in or available 9-in touchscreen, each with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also add some other features, including a Wi-Fi hotspot and Amazon Alexa.
